War Cry

The Battle Of Little Big Horn, marked the defeat of George Armstrong Custer and the 7th Cavalry. There is a monument marked with the names of the 268 men who lost their lives, on a windswept hill in eastern Montana. The Native Americans remember that battle as the final chapter in their struggle to persevere and defend their native homeland and traditional way of life. The pwer and poignancy of "War Cry" attests to the bitter loss of the American Indian, for which there is still no comparable memorial.
