The Hohokam peoples of Arizona existed between 200 BC and 1450 AD. They are now known as the "canal builders" for their incredible farming practices. This people were also, skilled artisans creating intricate pottery and woven baskets. The unique designs and complex color combinations depicted on the "Hohokam Basket" horse represent the Hohokam's advanced irrigation techniques and divided stylized farm fields.
